Polyacrylamide (PAM) – flocculant

PAM is a synthetic polymer with many polymerised long chains formed by acrylamide monomers with different charges and varying charge densities. It neutralises the surface charges of suspending solid particles in liquids and glues them together, forming large particles (flocculation) that are relatively heavy enough to settle down in liquids. Nuoer Chemical Australia is the world’s third-largest PAM manufacturer. Our products are widely used in mineral processing, pulp and paper manufacturing and wastewater treatment industries.

Nuoer manufactures the following PAMs:

  • Anionic polyacrylamide
  • Cationic polyacrylamide
  • Nonionic polyacrylamide

Most of the products are supplied in granular form, while some exist in emulsion form.

Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) Products

Innovative technology improves the quality of life

SAP is a vital component of baby diapers and feminine hygiene products. The latest polymer technology allows our products to absorb 100 to 1,000 times their weight even when compressed, giving our products excellent water retention properties. Therefore, this unique material can ensure that hygiene products securely lock in moisture, keeping the skin dry and comfortable, which can considerably improve customers’ quality of life.

In addition to the SAP used in sanitary products, Nuoer can provide specialised adsorbent solutions for a wide range of industries to minimise costs and resource consumption.

Currently, our SAP products can be used in the following fields:

  • For hygienic products: paper diapers and sanitary napkins
  • For agriculture products: water-retaining agents
  • For telecom products: waterproof cables
  • For other industrial products: expanding rubber
